【ハリウッドより愛をこめて】キム・カーダシアンの超セレブ挙式に全米夢中！

みなさん、こんにちは！　素敵なお盆を過ごすことはできましたか？　ここアメリカでは、人々は秋に向けて準備を始めていますが、季節が変わる手前の先週末、アメリカで絶大な人気を誇るセレブTVスター、キム・カーダシアンの結婚ニュースが飛び込んできました!

キムを知らない方のために説明を。彼女を一躍有名にしたのは、エンタテインメント専門チャンネル「E！」で放送中の、カーダシアン一家に密着したリアリティ番組「Keeping Up with the Kardashians」。放送開始して以来、大人気を誇る同番組ですが、一家がやること成すこと全てに多くのアメリカ人が魅了されてきました。ここ数か月は、彼女の結婚式当日までの道のりに密着しており、連日のプロモーションによりメディアを賑わせていました。また、こちらの結婚式の模様は2パートにわたる特別番組として、10月に放送されるほどです。

先週土曜日、カリフォルニアのモンテシトの邸宅で行われた挙式には、アヴリル・ラヴィーンとボーイフレンドのブロディ・ジェナー（元・水泳オリンピック代表選手の父ブルース・ジェナーはキムの義父）や、テニス選手のセレーナ・ウィリアムズ、リンジー・ローハン、ライアン・シークレストと彼女のジュリアン・ハフ、ディズニー・アイドルのデミ・ロヴァート、伝説的ボクサーのシュガー・レイ・レナード、女優のエヴァ・ロンゴリアらセレブたち、さらに元スター選手のスコッティ・ピッペンを含む大勢のNBAスターなど、約450人ものゲストが駆けつけました。

キムの結婚のお相手は、クリス・ハンフリーズ。昨年キムと交際するようになるまではNBAニュージャージー・ネッツに所属する無名の選手でした。さて、ここアメリカのゴシップ誌やウェブサイトでは、こぞってこの結婚式のことを「今年最大のセレブ結婚式」と表現しています。アメリカ版の「ロイヤル・ウエディング」とまで言われているのです。花嫁のキムは、ヴェラ・ワンのアイボリーのドレスでバージンロードを歩き、式の後にはまた別のヴェラ・ワンのドレスに衣裳替えし、夜までクリスと踊り明かしていたそうです。また、ゲストにはセレブ御用達のシェフ、ウルフギャング・パックの豪華料理がふるまわれ、ステージではR＆Bシンガーのロビン・シックや、伝説的バンド「アース・ウィンド・アンド・ファイアー」など、錚々たる面々のパフォーマンスが繰り広げられました。

さらに、複数の報道によれば、この結婚式、ヴェラ・ワンのドレス3着から1万5,000ドルのウエディング・ケーキ、200万ドルのお花、美しくカスタムメイドされた招待状まで、ほぼ全てが結果的に無料でまかなわれたようで、これに加えて「People」誌は結婚式の撮影権利を250万ドルで契約したとか。

5、6年前までは、ただの“パリス・ヒルトンの親友”としてしか認知されていなかったキムですが、そこから長い道のりを経て、見事開花しましたね！　幸せ絶頂のカップルに祝福を送ります！

Here in the US people are starting to get ready for the fall season...
But before that, last weekend the biggest star in reality television, Kim Kardashian got married!!!

Ever since their show debuted on E!, they have consistently had one of the most popular shows on television.And much of America for some reason seems to be fascinated with anything and everything that this family does.And it seems that the family intends on keeping it that way.The past few months there has been much publicity and promotion surrounding the planning of the wedding, etc.And the event is scheduled to air as a 2-part special here in the U.S. sometime in October.

The wedding took place on Saturday in a private estate in Montecito, Ca (very close to Santa Barbara).The 450 guests included such celebrities as Avril Lavigne with her boyfriend Brody Jenner (his dad, former Olympic swimmer Bruce Jenner is married to the mother of the bride), tennis player Serena Williams, LIndsay Lohan, Ryan Seacrest and his girlfriend Julianne Hough, Disney star Demo Lovato, boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, actress Eva Longoria, along with quite a few NBA stars, including NBA great Scottie Pippen.

Kim K got married to Kris Humphries, who until he started dating Kim K last year, was a relatively unknown NBA player for the New Jersey Nets. To many of the people here in the US who keep up with all their gossip magazines and websites, this was definitely the "celeb wedding of the year", and many were calling it the American version of the "royal wedding".The bride walked down the aisle in an ivory custom-designed Vera Wang gown, and after the ceremony was dancing the night away with her new husband in another custom made Vera Wang dress, while the guests were enjoying a meal prepared by none other than celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck.The entertainment included live performances from soul crooner Robin Thicke, as well as legendary r&b band Earth, Wind, & Fire.

According to various reports, though, much of the wedding was for FREE!! Including the three custom-made Vera Wang gowns, the $15,000 wedding cake, $2 million in flowers, the beautiful custom made invitations,etc. AND to add to that, People Magazine has agreed to the exclusive rights to the wedding photos for $2.5 million!!!

It is really quite amazing to see, because only about 5 or 6 years ago, Kim Kardashian was only really known as the "best friend of Paris Hilton"....she has definitely come a very long way since then, hasn't she! Congratulations to the very happy couple!
